I have been drawing since a child and painting actively since the late 90's. I love to paint and draw!

I sign my finished pieces as EJ. As a child I was called Betty, that was what I thought my name was for quite a long time, until I learned my given name was Elizabeth Jane. My nicknames seemed to grow as the years passed, for some reason my family and friends chose to name me something other than Betty or Elizabeth. That was ok with me, it was kind of  fun having so many names. When I began painting I did not really know how to sign my paintings since everyone called me by so many different names. I decided to just sign them EJ, short for Elizabeth Jane.  It's funny, this is the only nickname I have never been called!

Working with acrylics I paint a variety of subjects. I have also worked with watercolor, pencil and ink. If I see something

that inspires me to paint, that's what I paint. I enjoy painting on anything!

Using paint to actually decorate my home is fun, although I do hang some of my art pieces on my walls also.

My largest accomplishment is a wall mural, my smallest a 3 x 5 canvas.

Wondering what are my nicknames? Well here is the rest of the story as Paul Harvey would say:

BJ, Betty Jane, Bet Jane, Liz, Lizbeth Jane, Jane, Scarlett (my mother nicknamed me this because I loved Gone with the Wind,

she said I act like Scarlett from the movie), Beth, Bet, and believe it or not I am now being called Betty again

by new friends I have met!
