Deuleys Own Compost Tea Maker is designed to be simple to use but made to produce consistently good aerobic compost tea. As a soil drench, compost tea can be used as often as desired but is really only necessary two or three times a growing season. However, the teas real strength is in its ability to protect your plants when used as a foliar spray. It protects your plants from many of the most prominent diseases and helps to strengthen the bacteria and other microbes already existing on your plants.

Compost Tea should be aerated until the time of use if possible. A lapse of more than 5 or 6 hours will cause the count of good microbes, bacteria and fungi to drop rather quickly. If you find you cannot use the tea in a 36 to 48 hour period after you began your brew, your tea can be maintained for several days if you allow it to continue to be aerated and add 2 or 3 ounces of horticultural molasses to the compost tea maker.

For an additional kick add seaweed extract to each gallon of tea just before you spray it on you plants or grass. Other additions such as a fish emulsion fertilizer or neem oil if you have a pest problem can all be added just before you use the compost if necessary.
